June 3 -The Week of Selfies and 6 more weeks in Condell!

Well, as I mentioned this week, there has been a lot of selfies taken. Why?

My comp is doing a root canal on his last molars.

What does that mean?

A lot of time in the house doing absolutely nothing besides studying.

Last Thursday we went to the dentist so my comp could get his molars drilled into to get the nerves out. He got the nerves out, but my comps mouth was so swollen the he couldnt speak, and he was in such
pain that it hurt every time his heart beat. So that explains what we did Friday and Saturday because he couldnt leave the house.

In that time period, I read from 1 Nephi 13 to almost Alma, read two issues of the Liahona, and started to re read and re listen to General Conference. I finished the Saturday Morning Session and understood the importance of getting married when I get home haha

Sunday was interesting. Martin (our fellow Schizophrenic) got up and started wandering the isles when we were passing the sacrament. I had to get up and calm him down so that way we could keep the peace. Then we went home so my comp could rest again.

Monday we went to the dentist! Again. That cita he got the nerves that were causing him pain out, however the doctor got to the office about 3 hours late because of a strike that happened in Santiago (the school teachers here are going nuts because the new president promised them higher wages, however stabbed everyone in the back when she ruled not to do it anymore). So we waited... And waited...

Tuesday I visited Liliana and Martin with Elder Peterson (aka Elder Cooper in the ward). We taught about the Priesthood and why its necessary to run the church. That was interesting!

Today, we did SHOPPING! I found a really, really good jacket on sale, and bought a Copa America soccer ball from Nike grin emoticon oh, cant wait! President is going to change the rules so we can watch the Chile gameswith Investigators and less actives grin emoticon

June 10 -  Tired, Hungry, and Very, Very cold

SO!

Thursday we had a visit from Elder Gonzalez, the Seventy over our area. He did a tour of our mission, and he talked very direct about some topics that Chile has a very hard time completing with. For
example, the Sabath Day. Oh, he had some words to say about that. Now it is expected of us to go and preach to all of the members super directly saying that if you're buying and doing the stuff they
normally do on the Sabath they are losing all of the blessing of the Sacrament. Straight out like that.

Friday we taught Liliana again. That was fun, ish... The witnesses have some really interesting doctrine about the final judgement, and we had to explain a lot of things, very clearly... Then we had once
with Elias Cifuentes! He's working his butt off into getting himself compeletly reactivated before he becomes the Ward Advisor grin emoticon It was really cool talking with him and accidentally on purpose watching the last 5 minutes of the Chile Salvador match grin emoticon

Saturday we had a Noche de Hogar with Javier and his family. We taught them lesson 3, the gospel of Jesus Christ. That was really cool, and they promised to come to church! (and they did :D)

Sunday, the other two elders in our sector had nothing to do. They had been contacting all day and so our district leader decided to let us do divisions so we can visit more people in our sector in less time grin emoticon We got 5 lessons that day with Jose Cisterna (fixing computer), David (reading the book of mormon), Manuel Cifuentes, Flores Family (about enduring to the end, that guy has a lot of things confused in his head) and with Auturo Cifuentes (Family home evening)

Monday we went to the dentist. My comp had to get his teeth tapped over after a root canal. To finish the day we taught David.

Tuesday I taught Constanza with Elder Villalobos because my comp had to go back to the dentist, so we did divs so we could go to all of our citas. Then we taught Liliana about the Final Judgement (again)
because she had a lot of questions. After that we talked with Jose Cisterna.

Today, we played a TON of soccer... My body is dying... I can't really move anymore... We played on a professional sized feild, designed for 22 players.

June 17

COPA AMERICA!!! CHILE!!! VAMOS QUE SE PUEDE! grin emoticon

This week has been interesting to say the least. Every time that Chile plays we still have to stay in the house tongue emoticon However, rumor has it that President might lift a little bit of the restriction this week grin emoticon

Thursday we visited Martin. He's been getting rather interesting, but I can understand it because he has a mental disorder. To help him out so he can keep up with the reading of the Book of Mormon, we've been reading with him without his mom. He's really liking it! Then Chile played against Ecuador and won 2 to 0! Good start for Chile!

Friday we visited Paula. It was a rather interesting cita, mainly because during the week President decided to completely divide the sectors, and she happened to fall on the other Elder's side. We made
one final attempt to get her a baptismal date so we could keep visiting her, but when the time came to put the date, the Spirit told  both of us no... Not yet, this is not the time. It felt really terrible, but really good. AT least we both know that there's a chance that she will progress with Elder Peterson and Elder Villalobos

Saturday we had Stake Conference. That was a long, long meeting... First Priesthood and then Adults. We had a pretty long service project in the morning laying tile, so when we got to the meeting we were dead tired tongue emoticon

Sunday we had the final session of Stake Conference, and then we visited las Cisternas and David. We had to say goodbye to him that day... He lives on the other side of the sector as well, so now we
can't visit him.

Monday we did some Book of Mormon reading with Liliana, and that went rather well grin emoticon

Tuesday we visited Ignacio! We finally found him! He's visiting for the week, but he moved to the coast without telling ANYONE... It rather sucked, but we got his information and we sent it to the office
grin emoticon My comp suffered that day as well, Uruguay played against Argentina and lost, 0-1... He almost punched me when he saw me putting on my  Messi jersey in the morning grin emoticon

 A lot of people have been telling me that I might be the best defense that they've seen in the mission. I trip up all of the professional players pretty easily grin emoticon

June 24

So this week... To be completely honest things have been relatively complicated. So instead of going into details Im just going to go into who we taught this week and how they are doing smile emoticon

Jose Cisterna. Hes doing really good, besides his continual efforts against his health issues. This week, his doctor at the hospital told him that after doing a scan of his heart, he doesn't know how the s***
his heart is still working. His arteries are completely clogged, so in other words, he could drop dead at any moment. We have been giving him encouragement, and several health blessings.

Sunday we did a massive meeting with the Stake Mission Leader. That was really cool. Hes recognized the problem of people getting lazy in the stake and he wants to change all of that. We all got muffins grin emoticon

Maca has been doing good after she got reactivated. Shes magnifying her calling! WAHOOO! Pretty soon shell be going to the temple to get her endowment back grin emoticon Super excited for her.

Other than that, its been a relatively interesting week... For reasons in which i cant really explain, we've been doing a ton of divisions with the Zone Leaders, so I haven't been in Condell for a while. But
were working on getting the problem fixed.

So, things are getting better with Pineyro. A lot better. I'm starting to get more energy again, it got a little down just because he was in "let's get 'er done!" mode for about a week, and practically dragged me around everywhere. I guess being old in the sector makes me a bit slower tongue emoticon

The other day, I put my planner on my desk, wrote a few things down, went to bed. Next day, woke up, went to get my planner to plan lessons for the day, NOT THERE. It literally ran away from me... I'm suffering, I can't remember anything...

Anyways! Thursday I went to the office... Again. The printer broke and refused to print anything. Turns out the jets just needed to be cleaned tongue emoticonWe had a cita with David, he wanted to know how to do contacting, so we did several... Examples haha. It was really cool, we tried to teach him how to teach the BoM in less than five minutes.

Friday... Can't really remember. I remember going to the office again to fix Elder Wall's computer.

I'll probably just talk about the people then, that might help.

We managed to find Ignacio that lives by Antonio (not by Condell that I baptized). We taught him a quick lesson 2 because of the amount of time that we had, but it was good.

Conni, we talk a really cool lesson that Pineyro taught me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When I chat with my mom, I'll have to show it to you guys. She remembered the 5 steps really, really well. Smart kid.

Pedro y Nora, they are a fantastic family. Very Evangelico, but very, very receptive. They told us a story when they took in a poor couple into their house for a week while they looked for a job, AND DIDN'T CHARGE THEM A CENT. They are a really, really good family. Super prepared!

Ernesto and his family... Oh, they are amazing. We did another Noche de Hogar with them and shared "Because of Him". That was amazing... The spirit was very strong, and we shared our testimonies about Jesus and his Atonement. They promised to come to church with us Sunday! grin emoticon

Besides fixing the office a lot and lots of walking, it's been a really good week. I'm very excited to share the results soon!

And... I forgot Last week

Ok, I FOUND MY AGENDA!!! So I didn't lose an entire week of my life! HAHA!

So, Thursday was pretty cool. We did Zone divisions, an interesting idea that Elder Aguero came up with. So every Elder in the zone got teamed up with another Elder that didn't pertain to his proper district, and we did divs. i stayed in Condell, and I got with an Elder named Selucio from Brazil! That was cool, I tried learning Portuguese, but failed desperately tongue emoticon We taught Paula the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and finally got her committed to going to church!!! Hopefully she comes

Friday we got with Liliana, and taught about the Millennium. The Jehovah Witnesses almost have the same idea as us about what is going to happen when Christ comes again, but we did have to clean up some stuff... With her, you have to go through every principle exactly and pound it into her head until it makes sense... But it worked! Then we talked with Maca, who is still going strong with her goals to go to the temple! That'll be a good day... grin emoticon

Saturday WE GOT TRUNKY! We went to a marriage in my comps last ward. Enough said. They're getting baptized this Saturday!

Sunday there was a lot of contacting. No lessons, but a lot of contacting.

Monday I went with Elder Villalobos to his side of Condell, while my comp and Elder Peterson did work on my side of the sector. It was a good day, got a lot of work done. They've already contacted their half completely, twice. So we started doing something called Phone Contacting, so we called up every person we didn't know on their phone and tried to set up an appointment. That was interesting

Tuesday we read went over the Judgement. A lot of stuff we needed to fix there as well. Then we taught conni the Restoration. That was cool, she remembered a lot! She commit ed to pray and to come to church grin emoticon

Today... Played a ton of soccer, and we ate some really, really good chicken. Then we went to the dentist for my comp, and now I'm writing!

May 27

Time really does pass way too quickly. In two weeks Ill have about 17 months on the mission (TRUNKY!!!)

So, this week has been interesting! The President has been visiting us a lot lately... Ill explain

Thursday we had a really cool Noche de Hogar (familiy home evening) with the Para family. It was FANTASTIC! To our suprise, they INVITED SOMEONE!!! WAHOOO! Claudia se llama (or if your my comp, se shama haha). It was really good, we taught lesson 3 with only 1 piece of paper (Ill have to show you sometime how it works, its really cool). She was really interesting, were going to contact her house soon to get more lessons in

Friday we taught Liliana again. Unfortunately, shes getting to the point where her knowledge with the Testigos and our doctrine are getting so intertwined that we cant really teach her without getting into an argument proving whos right or not. So, a different approach. Now were trying to show how the Book of Mormon and the Bible support each other mutually. Hopefully that turns out better than just doing straight doctrine and not getting anywhere.

Saturday we finally got a hold of Jose Cisterna! We had a really good lesson with him, and he offered me to look at his computer grin emoticon Experience coming soon

Sunday we taught David a thought found in Helamen 15:7-8, about becoming a better disiple of Christ. That was fun. And then at the previous mentioned service, I about killed myself haha. We plugged the computer in and then there was a massive bang sound. I opened the poor thing up and found out that a capacitor inside of the PSU had exploded. Yeah, they might need to replace it now...

Monday we were at the dentist... The dentist couldnt do it today so we went Monday to get my comps root cannal done. We spent about the entire day there. We had another lesson with David and set up a goal to read 10 chapters in the Book of Mormon every week so he can understand it better.

Tuesday we did a lot of walking... And walking... There wasnt really a lot of people on the street to talk to because it was cold and we had already contacted all of the houses in the sector. Yeah, that was a really boring day.

Today TEMPLE!!! Oh... It was really good... Lot of good feelings, lots of answers.

April 15

So this week has been kind of down for me. Next week on Tuesday there's changes. And because I have 6 months in Condell, there is a slight inevitable chance that Pres might move me out of the sector... Dang, I love Condell.

Alright, so Thursday we taught Paula our testigo friend, and that went really well. We taught the first part of the plan of Salvacion! She liked it. Luckily, she's taking the lessons with an open mind. The Witnesses doctrine and ours are very, very different in that matter. Then we taught David, our recent convert. He's getting rather hyper and out of control lately... Then we taught Honorio, a very, very old menos activo that knows a ton about the church, however he keeps talking and never gives us the chance to talk when we try to invite him to come back to church or any type of commitment... He's going to be hard.

Friday we went to the temple as a stake!!! That was really fun. We didn't go in to do temple work, but we brough Liliana and Martin to the gardens and had a really cool lesson about temples. When Liliana walked in you could tell her face completely changed. When she walked out she said "with a feeling like that after just walking to the reception desk, I wonder how it feels like to be completely inside?". Really good testimony builder right there! You can't deny feelings like that! I love temples!!

Saturday we had a lesson with the bible tank Hno Manuel. That was interesting. He always tries to let us know about doctrine that contradicts itself and things like that in our church. I'm still trying to figure out why he's inactive, there's definitely a more serious reason than just that

Sunday we literally had nothing.

Monday was slow as well. No lessons, no service, no nuttin'...

Tuesday we had several lessons set up, but every single one of them failed.

Anyways, that's about it!

April 22

Se fue! Se fue! Dangit.....

So, according to my last email I thought I was going to leave.

WRONG!

I'm still here in little good ol' condell! And still loving it! However... Aguero left... I will miss him, we had a lot of adventures together.

Now I'm with Elder Pineyro from Uruguay! he was a Zone leader in La Cisterna. In one day... Dang, we did work. I thought I did work with Aguero, but this guy literally is a contacting machine. Non stop... All of our appointments fell through, but non stop... I feel like Condell is going to grow a lot in the next 3 months together.

OK! So the last week with Aguero was full of walking and food. The Mancilla family got together and made fried fish with fried ice cream (don't ask me how that works, it just does). All in all, it was a very saddening departure, mainly because he was only here for 3 months and really didn't know anyone... But now he's my Zone Leader! Right next door. I get to see him every week now!

Now changes... I got Pineyro in the morning Tuesday, and right off the bat he started to get to work. I felt like I was being dragged around in my own sector. I haven't been able to break the ice with him yet, but I'm going to do my best to be friends with him.

The rest of the day, we had 3 citas set up, but all failed except for Birmania. She's doing a lot better, her foot healed over, and now she can at least walk, but not for very long periods of time. She's doing really good, almost half way through Doctrine and Covenants.

Other than that, we played soccer for most of the day today, and now emailing.

April 29

So, as I probably had mentioned last week, my new comp is rather amazing. Elder Pineyro. He played professionally for a team in Uruguay, and still rocks at the sport. I amazing managed to block a couple of his shots today... That was interesting. But one things is for sure, the kid could power a nuclear reactor... I thought I worked hard with Elder Aguero, but holy fetch my feet are about to fall off. He's probably one of the best missionaries I've ever known...

Anyways, Thursday. We taught Paula, and tried our best to put a baptismal date. She denied it... She's been taking the discussions from the Jehova's Witnesses for 2 years now, and she feels like she needs more time to help her feel like her search is more "complete". Rosa came with us, so when she denied the date Rosa went and shared a very powerful testimony. Almost left her in tears. Let's see what happens tomorrow... And, we found a family! The Cerda family, filled with menos activos and one investigator. We did a Family Home Evening, and they absolutely loved it! WAHOOO!

Friday we taught Liliana the Book of Mormon. My comp and her had a little heated discussion mid lesson, but then he found out the hard way why she was confusing everything so much. She too had been taking the Jehova's Witnesses discussions, but for 4 years instead of 2 like Paula. It's so weird how you can read the same Bible, translate it completely differently, and get two completely distinct doctrines. Now I wonder why we believe in the Apostacy? My comp and Elder Villalobos went and taught another family we found, but I didnt' get to be there because guess what! Peterson and I had to go fix the office again...

Saturday, I wasn't with my comp again. President Cook had a project for Peterson and I to do, so I left Pineyro and Villalobos in the sector. They found some people! I just need to meet them still...

Sunday we had the Capilla Abierta!!! That was fantastic! We opened up the chapel doors and did tours until my knees died. We got several references, so once the office gives them back to us, we're going to go contacting!!

Monday every cita fell through except 1! Familia Cerda! We did another Noche de Hogar, and everyone opened up. They said that they're going to be committed to going to church this week, they're starting to remember good memories that they had.

Yesterday, did taught Liliana. This time, my comp was prepared. It was still very difficult, because with her we are going over each part individually and slowly, so she can understand. This time we taught the Spirit World... Interesting because the Testigos don't believe in Spirits! Completely new concept for her, and I had to interpret some very, very interesting verses from the Old Testament... The New World Translation is very, very, very interesting. There's a reason why it doesn't say Bible on the front of it, because they changed the whole flipping thing! Urg, they get on my nerves a lot.

Today, we went to get visa stuff done at like 6 in the morning! All day... I'm exhausted.

The First Two Weeks of April.

April 1

So, this week has been very short and very busy. Instead of going over each day individually, I'm just going to go over the entire week. 

So this last week was the Dia de Joven Combatiente, where every child in chile gets together and riots the police. Great national holiday, right? so what happened is that the day before, we had to get into the house at 5, stay in the house until Sunday, go to church, and then immediately return to the house until Monday. WE GOT BORED. It was terrible when Prada hurt is back, but to repeat it again... Urg... 

We survived, and now we're working hard again. We're working with a new program called He Lives, and the video for it once again, is amazing. You can watch it here at helives.mormon.org.

April 8

So, this week was really good. Listening to the prophet and the apostles really does put a nice skip into your step, a good spark for the week!

Basically this week has been full of 3 things: 1, if you can imagine the movie Frozen, Chile is turning from a nice summer paradise filled with UV radiation to really, really cold nights. So not entirely like Frozen, but close enough. 2, if you can imagine the movie the Lord of the Rings, especially with all of the scenes with Frodo and Sam, it's like that. Tons of walking with some adventures here and there. And 3, someone trying to break into the chapel! We got here in the morning and there was broken glass everywhere. One thing that I have learned is that 1, the church is a genius because for every chapel, each important door has a different type of key. The front gate is a regular key, the door key is a specialized German key that costs a ton to replicate, and the key to the family history center is a double sized depth based location key that is proven impossible to copy unless if you have a 3D scanner and a 3D printer. In other words, resistance is futile

So, Thursday, we had a lesson with David. He's really animated to get on the mission already (been a member since January, and already wants to go on the mission... Man, I love that kid) and so we've been helping him go over the lessons. So like a mini mission prep class, but enough so that if someone in his class asks him about being Mormon he has enough skills to defend himself. We also had an appointment with the Cisternas family... They're starting to stop progressing... I really hope that we don't have to drop them...

Friday we had a good Book of Mormon study with our Witness friend Liliana. She really, really loved it. She's progressing a TON (and went to 2 sessions of conference!!! :D). We also shared with Albertina, but she's having a ton of legal problems with her daughter still...

Saturday CONFERENCE!!! After the first session we went contacting, and ran into David's dad. We shared the "Gracias a que el vive" (because he lives) and he loved it. Promised us to go to conference, but never did...

Sunday, MORE CONFERENCE!!! :D After the two sessions we talked to the Bible Tank (that's what I'm beginning to call him now) Hno Flores. It was his birthday!!! That was cool, didn't mention how old he was, but I'd imagine that he's now in his mid to late fifities now. I seriously need to reactivate him... Then we talked with a menos activa family, and had a mini Family Home Evening. That was pretty cool, and we've got an official one set up next week.

Monday we taught Conni the Plan of Salvation again, mainly because some points really didn't stick. She seemed to understand it. We also invited her to Mutual again, we're going to have to drag the Young Women's president over again to get her motivated to go. Then we contacted a new that we found! Hermana Leal, a less active that really has some potential.

Tuesday we talked with Liliana in detail the Creation and the Fall. That was really interesting. Apparently the Testigos de Jehova almost have the same doctrine as us, but almost. Actually, not a lot, but she understood. We invited her to go on the temple trip that the stake has set up this week on Friday. Let's see how that goes

Today WE PLAYED SOCCER!!! AND I'M VERY BROWN NOW. Almost Chilean!!! haha

March 4

So I don't have my camera, nor my agenda... There was a couple of things that happened and my comp left my bag at the house and now I´m in a ciber with no time left... 

Basically to summarize the week, we´ve been trying to revolucionize our contacts by using videos instead of just going up to the door and talking. I´ve heard that this type of contact has been successful in the past, so we´re going to try it. 

We got two new investigators this week! We´re working really hard with both. We have the hope that we can set up two baptism dates by the end of next week! That´s going to be super exciting... I really can´t wait to see what happens. 

Other than that, one of our menos activas, Sandra Chomorro that we found last week has been progressing a ton. She has a ton of enthusiasm to come back, and we´re hoping that she´ll be fully active again within 2 or so weeks. 

Enjoying life, enjoying the mission! 

Fun thought about the scriptures, the parable found in Mathew about the King that forgave the debt of the servant? According to James E Talmage in Jesus the Christ, that debt was about the equivalent of 9 million+ dollars! (I can´t really remember the stat exactly, as mentioned earlier, I don´t have my notes to verify that number, but it definitely had 6 or more zeros behind it). Makes us realize how merciful our Heavenly Father is, and all we have to do is take advantage of his forgiveness to strengthen ourselves, and to be humble enough to forgive others as well.

March 11

Well, I got a new agenda! And forgot the old one... 

So, about last week, Elder Peterson has been giving me small computer classes during P Days about basic computer repair. I now know how to fix hard drives, erase viruses, and restore system files. It´s actually helped out a lot, there´s a lot more people here than I thought that need help with the virus part...

We´ve been finding a lot of news recently. Don't know why, but a lot of people have been a lot more open with us, mainly because I think they have pity on us because we´re out all day in 34 C´s... That's almost 95 degrees, with no humidity. However, our two newest ¨news¨ that have the most potential is Connie, a 14 year old that is interested that has problems with a brain tumor, and Ignacio, a 15 year old that went to the Open Chapel program that they´ve been doing in South America. They will both have baptism dates by the end of this week! :D

Changes happened. The zone basically changed entirely. Our zone had about 4 elders that went home. I went to see Bickle off (That sir was a very good sir)

Other than that, Maca has been showing a lot of progress, and hopefully will be fully reactivated in 3 months! WHEW!!!

March 18

There is no time this week sorry...

But, we've been working super hard. Maca has been taking the sacrament! Oh... that really made me get warm fuzzies inside... I don't know how to describe what I felt, but that's the best way I can do it.

We've been finding a ton of people. We found a Colombian family that is super interested. Paula and John. They're fantastic, and they invited us to have lunch with them tomorrow! POTENTIAL FAMILY!!!! 

Pi day and Saint Patrick's! I got pinched... i completely forgot about it... 

Liliana is still progressing, however though she keeps scrambling the Jehovah's Witnesses Doctrine with ours... We had our second lesson on who Jehovah is, and I gave her a ton of Old Testament and New Testament scriptures that show that Jesus in the Old Testament was Jehovah. That was really fun. Just in case, she's a less active that's been working hard on coming back to church. Fantastic lady. 

David has been going really strong, we did divs with him the entire day yesterday. He really, really wanted to go contacting. It was fun watching him sharing the gospel with others. He's so ready to be a missionary in 2 years! 

We're teaching a family from Haeti! That's interesting. We had our first lesson with them. We got Books of Mormon in Creole , French, and Spanish. We practically taught a lesson in 3 languages.

March 25

So, this week we've been doing a TON of contacting... And here's what happened:

Thursday, we taught Paula. She was really interested, and really likes to read books. When we gave her the book of Mormon she was really happy about it. However, there was a hitch... There's always a hitch. She's been receiving the Jehovah's Witnesses for about 2 years, and the lady that's been teaching her has become one of her best friends... Let's see how that goes. Oh! And we met her Witness teacher, she's pretty nice, however though she probably hates us. 

Friday we taught Liliana about the Book of Mormon again. She came this last Sunday, and has been progressing a lot. She's been reading about Lehi's vision and really loved it, especially when we got to the interpretation farther on in the book. We also taught Conni the rest of the Plan of Salvation, and this week, si o si we are going to put a baptismal date with her, and hopefully share with her family. 

Saturday I had another baptism in Nocedal! David Diaz Jr got baptised! That was pretty cool, he gave me a massive hug when he saw me (photos to come)

Sunday we taught Albertina, a lady that's had a ton of legal trouble over the legal rights of her granddaughter. Her daughter practically left her disabled daughter in her hands and has been using the benefit money in ways that she shouldn't. She's trying to get responsibilities over her, but it's been difficult with all of the legal traps her daughter has set up. But we taught a lesson about forgiveness and hopefully that helped... Monday we did contacts and found a lady named Cristina! She's really interested, she had talked to missionaries before and really liked what she heard. Let's see how that turns out!

Tuesday we did divs... Elder Peterson and I were in the mission office from about 9 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon. Elder Figueroa and Elder Aguero visited both companionship people while we were fixing computers!!! Yay! no, it really, really sucked. The mission office was completely full of viruses and issues... However, President made me and Peterson the official administrators of the office now. And guess what? The people now have to call and ask us if they can install anything. We now both have administrative users on EVERY COMPUTER IN THE OFFICE. 

I'VE GOT POWER OVER THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS FOR THE ENTIRE MISSION. hehe, this will be fun

I also found out how to hack windows, just be on the look out when I get home muhahahahaha

Not much happened this week, besides contacting and some other fun lessons... But just straight contacts. 

However we did find some news this week! I'll let you guys know how it goes. But here's some photos!

February 4 - 18, 2015

February 4th

So, as you all might know now, Elder Fernelius se fue...

Since the last time met, I didn't have time the last week, nor do I have very much time now. However...

Thursday was pretty good. We talked to our investigator with a baptismal date, only to find out that she was moving out... So that kind of killed her from our investigator list. We've been working a ton with a list that I printed out from the Ward List and Rescate so we can find more people that haven't been going to church and to use it to find more people that we can teach. So we've mainly been using that to contact.

Friday we contacted all day... Not a single lesson. We were supposed to go with the Bishop to see David's mom in Pinaflor, however the bishop didn't tell David's mom that we were coming and she got super mad at us for not letting her know. So we didn't go.

Sunday, we got with Ignacio and David and talked about a Youth camp that was going to happen Tuesday, so we could get permission from their parents to go. We talked to both of their parents, got the permission, and now they are at the camp right now!

Monday the only lesson that we had was David, he invited us to breakfast. However that was the only lesson because the night before we got sudden phone calls telling us that we had interviews with the president the following day. Those were really, really long interviews...

Tuesday, we talked to Liliana, a person that was once a member of our church but denied her baptism and took lessons of the Bible from the Jehovah's Witnesses. We're giving her the lessons again, and she has told us about her desires to be baptised again. I just need to confirm if her records are still in MLS to make sure if she needs to be baptised again or not...

Today, we went to say good bye to a missionary that goes home in less than a week. That was cool, he told us about his experiences and how much he's grown on the mission... I really hope that I can be as proud of my mission as he was.

Well, that's about it, a lot of contacting and trying to find news.

February 11th

Thursday, we finally found out that Liliana is still a member! So now all we have to do is just get her to church... We also contacted a really cool menos activa that hasn't gone to church for a while named Ivonne, let's see how she goes...

Friday a lot of contacting and divisions with Elder Jackson and Elder Soulier. Jackson came here, and we had a lot of fun. We finally got a hold of Ignacio's mom, she accepted a return appointment, so we're going to start giving her the discussions! Woot woot! 

Saturday we met a native Mapuche! His name is Fabian, and he's a menos activo. Really likes animals, has an entire pond in his backyard dedicated to just turtles. Cool guy, we're going to visit him again at the end of this week. 

Sunday we did a TON of contacting again... Vacations have been destroying our numbers...

Monday we had a full day, however a lot of people bailed out on us. Good news is, we went pizza shopping with a young man in our ward named Matias. We had a pizza competition in our ward Tuesday.

Tuesday, PIZZA! AND BACON! Bacon here is unbelievably expensive... It was about 4 mil (like 8 bucks) for a pack of bacon with 4 slices. totally worth it though!!

That's about it today. Found out that my second comp, Elder Prada is going home next month... He's going to finish his mission with only 18 months in the feild due to back problems... I'm going to miss that kid.

So!

Thursday, WE HAD ROOT BEER FLOATS. It was delicious... Then we had a cita with a recent convert named Birmania, we talked about the blessings of the temple because she's going to be able to go soon! And a ton of contacts again...

Friday, we had David, who's one of our recent converts, we talked to him about enrolling in seminary, because classes here for that should start up pretty soon. We also had once (it's like a dinner, but a lot smaller because the biggest meal of the day is lunch) and we had a long discussion about the 12 tribes of Israel (something that I still can't really understand)

Saturday we talked with the Cisternas, a menos activa family that we are teaching (and they came Sunday!) that have a ton of ethuziasm (destroyed that word) to come back to church.

Sunday, CHURCH! The Cisternas, Liliana (less active), and Macarena went to church! And on the way back from Maca's house for lunch we ran into a call/delivery sushi place! Then a lot of contacting occurred...

Monday, we talked with Ignacio. he's been having some family problems recently, but we are working with him. Then we had a Family home Evening with a member, with the goal to get Hno Parra to start his home teaching visits (no one does it here...)

Yesterday, we talked with Liliana again. She loved church and the talks, we just need to keep her coming.

Other than that, this week has been full of walking and contacting. Lots of work to do, not much time to do it.

January 15

Last week, we had a baptism, divs with our District leader, had lunch with a menos activo that has the entire bible memorized, went to church, I confirmed David into the church, destroyed a really cool pen that I bought last week during P-day, and learned how to convince a Testigo de Jehova that the Book of Mormon is true. In other words, nothing really happened last week. 

So this week, to start it all off, President came to our house! He had to talk to Elder Dawson about some medical problems that he has been having. And while he was there, he decided to do an inspection of the house... Brilliant idea! We failed, without mercy. Because it is the oldest house in the mission (about 40 or so years), it has a history of missionaries just destroying it, therefore it is probably the worst looking house on the planet. That was fun

This week we've started out our lessons really well, so far we are rocking about 10 lessons in 3 days! 

On Tuesday we got with David and showed him the hour version of the Joseph Smith movie, that turned out really well. He understood what the purpose of Joseph Smith better and why the church is true. 

Yesterday we didnt have pday, not really anyways. Because the house was old and a disaster, Pres took away our ability to do any activities. We went and bought things, then back to the house to clean.

Other than that, not much happened. 

January 21

So this week has been rather intersting... A lot of drama, but other than that a good week. 

Thursday we had a couple of lessons with David and Maca, both were great. Maca's mom has had some issues recently because of a surgery that she had. Her liver had a massive tumor on it and they took the entire thing right out. She recovered a lot quicker than everyone thought she would, so they let her go home about a week earlier than excepted, which was really nice for the family. 

Friday we went with Cata to get her endowment done! And better news yet, her mom went with her! (One of our recent reactivation). It was a really cool experience. However... EVEN BETTER NEWS TO COME! I SAW DAVID ALLEN IN THE MTC! Dude... I miss that kid. He's going to the Chile Santiago West mission (where all of the rich people live haha)

Saturday we worked our behinds off (well, my comp did). I went to the marriage of David Diaz in Nocedal while my comp stayed in the sector visiting people. I did divs with the other Elder in our sector, Elder Figueroa. It was a really cool wedding, got to see a lot of people that I knew, and arm wrestled Nicco a couple of times (yes jacob, I am practicing!)

Sunday, we had the highest assistance we have ever had since I've been here. That was pretty cool. We finally ended the week good with 20 lessons and 7 divisions.

Monday nothing much happened. We ended up doing a lot of contacting and finding people

Tuesday I gifted David a Triple with the Book of Mormon, D and C and Pearl of Great Price. I lost to David in an arm wrestle so I had to give him a freaking tie... That was great. (It was a tie from a Fardo so I really dont care about it)

Today we went to the Costanera in Provedencia. That was cool, we found a coupon for Burger King and took advantage on that. We bought so much food for so cheap... Loved it. 

I'll send photos next week, this computer has some virus issues and i dont want to risk it.

January 28

don't have time this week, but changes happened... I got a new comp, Elder Aguero from Peru! He's a very good kid, and we'll see how he turns out. So far he's pretty cool, I'll keep you updated.
